Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. is the first casino company to offer Indiana and Illinois customers the opportunity to play “The Price Is Right” video slot machines manufactured by International Game Technology.

Following the highly successful introduction of the nine-line nickel denomination video slots in several Harrah’s casinos across the country, the company has installed a total of 22 machines at Harrah’s East Chicago, 12 machines at Harrah’s Joliet and 10 machines at the Harrah’s-operated Players Island Casino in Metropolis, Ill. The Players Island casino will assume the Harrah’s brand name in September.

“We have installed ”˜The Price Is Right’ machines in many of our properties around the United States, and we are thrilled to now offer the game to our valued customers in Indiana and Illinois,” said Bruce Rowe, Harrah’s Entertainment’s vice president of slot operations research and development. “By offering customers a chance to play a pricing game, spin the big bonus wheel and win a showcase showdown, the slot machine does a tremendous job of capturing the excitement and enthusiasm of the television game show.”

“The Price Is Right” video slots feature game host Rod Roddy’s voice and theme music from the popular game show.

“America knows and associates Rod Roddy’s voice with an upbeat, heart-pounding game show, so his presence on the casino floor really brings our slot players’ excitement to new levels,” said David Norton, Harrah’s Entertainment vice president of loyalty marketing. “It’s a coup for us to have Rod in person in our casinos interacting one-on-one with players.”
