The senior circuit has taken to gaming nationwide like no other demographic group, and Michigan is anxious to capitalize.

Bus trips have become routine for thousands of seniors at Michigan's 20 casinos, with some sites such as Soaring Eagle in Mount Pleasant, offering rebates to older bus riders.

According to a federal survey, the number of seniors visiting casinos nationwide has doubled since 1975, a rate far surpassing any other age group. American Gaming Association said its research showed that 3-of-4 seniors limit the amount they wager, compared with 62 percent of other gamblers.
