An Internet poker casino has dropped references to the Four Queens hotel-casino on its Web site and in its magazine ads.

The moves came in the wake of a State Gaming Control Board investigation into’s deal to hold $15 and $30 qualifying tourneys for a September poker tournament at the downtown casino.

UltimateBet’s Internet site offers live, for-pay poker games. The ads were placed in recent editions of Poker Digest and Card Player. UltimateBet’s lawyer, Cory Aronovitz, today said he advised UltimateBet to remove references to the Four Queens from its online contests and print ads because the company never had an affiliation with the downtown casino.
