Most of the mega bingo jackpots around town are awarded for the bingo session’s cover-all game, which requires all the spots to be filled with a set number of balls, usually 50 or less for the biggest awards.

One casino that recently added a hearty bingo progressive is the Plaza, which a few weeks ago awarded a $52,000 jackpot for a 51-spot coverall. Shortly thereafter, the progressive was hit for $66,440.

The Super Progressive Bonanza jackpots are available at eight bingo sessions, and a $1,000 consolation jackpot is guaranteed at six of the sessions. August is a good month to play at the Plaza because buy-ins receive a free $4 Bonus Pack.

Station Casinos went a step further by linking their progressive jackpot with five casinos. The result boosted its Jumbo Bingo jackpot to six figures.

The entry fee is $1 per game and players can enter as often as they like. The coverall games are rotated among Palace, Boulder, Texas, Sunset and Santa Fe Stations, with live telecasts broadcasting the game to each of the other locations. (Fiesta and Reserve don’t participate.)

The first Jumbo Bingo jackpot was hit for $156,155. And in the first three weeks of play, Station paid out $357,600 in cash. At that rate, the bingo progressive will pay out over $6 million a year!

Sam’s Town has a nice bingo operation with 10 sessions daily. Each has a coverall on their small rainbow of $250/$500/$750. Plus the 1 a.m. session has double pay on double bingo.

In between, there are eight sessions featuring Triple Chance Coveralls and Bonus Coverall games worth up to $10,000.

The Coast Resorts — Gold Coast, Suncoast and The Orleans — also have a lot of chances to win big. At the Gold Coast, you can vie for a progressive Bonanza Jackpot, which was recently hit for $52,767.

The Suncoast has some great promotions this month to enhance playing bingo. Players earn triple bingo points at every session, every day. Plus the big money Progressive Bonanza Bingo is played at all eight daily sessions.

Coming up in September, Suncoast will host a $35,000 guaranteed Birthday Bingo Bash on Monday, September 10. You can buy-in for this super cash game for $50 with extra packs costing $20 each (a three pack maximum).

Tune in next week for more great bingo progressives and promotions and coming up next month we’ll examine some playing strategies.
