On Friday, the entire gaming world will be in one place, hanging on every word spoken by casino legend Steve Wynn as he addresses attendees of the 15th annual World Gaming Congress an Expo (WGCE) at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
In addition to sharing his views on the future direction of Las Vegas, the world’s gaming capital, Wynn is expected to reveal details about his new resort, Le Rêve, to be built on the site of the old Desert Inn.
Named for he Picasso painting that is part of Wynn’s art collection, Le Rêve means “The Dream” in French, and it is expected to rival his last creation, the billion-dollar Bellagio.
Wynn’s visions have sparked previous building booms in Las Vegas, which is why he is widely credited with almost single-handedly creating the living extravaganza that is Las Vegas today.
When Wynn’s flagship property, the Mirage, first opened in 1990, it ignited a $12 billion building boom.
