The SunCruz casino ship trial begins Monday in Hollywood, Fla., with the existing possibility that the floating gaming resort could be banished from the area.
The trial involves the death of former SunCruz owner Gus Boulis, who was allegedly murdered and involved in an ongoing bankruptcy action.
SunCruz won zoning approval in 1995 to dock a boat after convincing Hollywood officials that it would be "an accessory use" to a Boulis-owned restaurant, according to an Associated Press report.
SunCruz VI stands four stories high and 165 feet in length. It is docked amid a collection of houses, condos and small restaurants.
