No matter the rout, it’s still Duke

Rutgers allowed 80 points to West Virginia. Vanderbilt gave up 71 to Florida. Yet we always wind up talking about Duke.

It truly is amazing how week after week the Blue Devils keep coming up with new ways of losing.

Allowing 49 points in the first half to North Carolina State is an excellent way to stay in the top spot, which Duke has occupied in the Dirty Dozen all year.

California is trying to book Duke for a shot at the title, but no such luck. The BCS will not recognize the Golden Bears gallant attempt to play the Duke at the Cow Palace. We love the Cow Palace.

As for Rutgers and Vandy, welcome back to the Dozen. You both stink. Vandy can be forgiven somewhat, since Spurrier runs it up at Florida. But West Virginia! That’s just brutal. They make Ohio good.
