Not only was he the pride of the O’Donnell Kennel, he practically carried the racetrack on his back when he went postward Saturday night in the $65,000 Flagler SuperMarathon.
However, champion Kiowa Suki was up to the challenge and just whizzed around the track to win going away as the odds-on favorite. This was his second consecutive victory in the Flagler SuperMarathon event and it resulted in the O’Donnel Kennel’s fourth victory in the past eight runnings of the SuperMarathon.
Kiowa Suki paid $3 to win, $2.60 to place and $2.40 to show. He was coupled with second place finisher Internet Explorer of the Haber Kennel in a 5-7 quinella worth $9.40.
Fran’s Fiasco of the Holguin Kennel was third, followed by Jetstar Streaker of the Kogen Kennel. The trifecta (7-5-6) was worth $103.40 and the superfecta (7-5-6-3) paid $478.40.
