Luck was a lady to Las Vegas Strip casinos as far as baccarat was concern.
The house luck percentage in baccarat was more than 29 percent in September, the highest monthly hold percentage in the last eight years," according to a Las Vegas Review-Journal report.
Overall, Nevada casinos won 3.2 percent less from gamblers in September than over the same time last year. Experts said the decline was smaller than was expected and attributed the comeback in part to the baccarat results.
The typical hold on baccarat is about 17 percent. The Strip casinos would have suffered an $11 percent decline if baccarat winnings were removed from the figures.
