If you’ve been keeping track of Harrah’s nationwide, year-long “Total Rewards Treasure Hunt” promotion, the culmination of that event took place on Saturday, November 11. Las Vegas resident Shirley Miller, a 67-year-old homemaker, randomly selected the treasure map that led her, a guide, and a four-wheel drive vehicle to the $1 million Grand Prize located in the Bittersprings Backcountry Byway. She was one of 20 finalists, also randomly selected, from each participating Harrah’s, Rio and Showboat casino. Shirley represented Harrah’s Laughlin casino. Each finalist and a guest received an all expenses-paid trip to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas to participate in the Treasure Hunt. When the dust settled in the Nevada desert Saturday, Harrah’s had given away more than $2.5 million in cash and prizes as part of the Treasure Hunt promotion.
