Already recognized as one of Las Vegas’ premier resorts, Bellagio was recently honored with a Five Diamond Award from the American Automobile Association (AAA).

The award is bestowed on fewer than one-half percent of the 40,000 lodgings and restaurants in the AAA tour guide, and is the first to be earned by a Las Vegas hotel-casino.

“We intended Bellagio to be a resort of unsurpassed excellence and superior customer service,” said Robert Baldwin, Bellagio’s president and CEO of Mirage Resorts. “To be honored with this industry service award by AAA recognizes the unparalleled level of service provided by our outstanding employees.”

To be considered for the award, hotels and restaurants undergo a thorough, unannounced inspection by one of AAA’s 60 full-time evaluators.

“The Five Diamond Award is only given to establishments that exemplify an impeccable standard of excellence,” said AAA spokesman Arle Erlingsson. “What makes Bellagio even more impressive is its ability to achieve such a standard with over 3,000 rooms, far more than any other Five Diamond winner, which until now have included properties with 10 to 896 guest rooms.”
