Park Place Entertainment promotes three Las Vegas execs

Three new promotions have been announced for Paris, Bally’s and the Flamingo Las Vegas, three properties owned by Park Place Entertainment Corp. (PPE).

Ronan O’Gorman will leave his post at Paris Las Vegas and become the new senior vice president of operations at the Flamingo Las Vegas.

Replacing him at Paris Las Vegas will be Steve Opdyke, vice president of hotel operations. And moving into his spot as vice president of hotel operations at Bally’s will be Bill Wright.

Longtime Las Vegas casino executive Dale Darrough is leaving his post as general manager of the Casino Rouge riverboat casino in Baton Rouge, La., and is joining the Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. (PNK) family of gaming properties.

Certified culinary professional Rim Ryan has been named executive chef of Ameristar Casino Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Assemblywoman Merle Berman, sponsor of the Internet bill that passed the Nevada legislature, has been named to board of directors of Interactive Solutions Corporation (INSC), an e-gaming business software company of Irvine, Cal.

Sebastian Salat has been promoted to managing director of WMS Gaming International, a subsidiary of WMS Industries (WMS).

Conrad Matos has been named a casino host at the Eldorado Hotel casino in Reno, Nev. He previously was manager of VIP Services at the Atlantic Hotel Casino in the Bahamas.

Mark Lowell has been appointed vice president of research and development by GameTech International Inc. (GMTC).
