UCLA –9 vs. Stanford. This is a big game for both schools that sit atop the Pac-10 standings. UCLA would like to win to ensure a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament and Stanford hopes to garner a top seed in the tourney as well.
The Bruins easily handled the Cardinal in January, 76-67, a game in which they out-rebounded Stanford 30-25 and shot 48 percent from the field in Palo Alto. Since then, Stanford has tightened up its defense and improved its rebounding with twin towers Brook and Robin Lopez, so expect a relatively close game in Pauley Pavilion with points coming at a premium.
Stanford won’t hold anything back in this game, so the final score should be in the high 60’s or low 70’s. Give the Cardinal a chance to stay within the 9 point spread, and take a look at the OVER if it stays close to 127.
