Are you a redneck? Find out as Jeff Foxworthy unleashes his Southern humor at the Rio, Thursday through Saturday at 9 p.m. For tickets, call (702) 252-7777.

Contrary to popular belief, Foxworthy was not an overnight success. He has spent years relentlessly touring and many a late night and early morning doing television and radio interviews. His hard work paid off when he captured the award for “Best Stand-Up Comic” at the 1990 American Comedy Awards. Soon, the Georgia native was opening for the likes of Garth Brooks and Jay Leno.

He has starred on “The Jeff Foxworthy Show” for two consecutive seasons, released many best-selling CDs and books, and built up a tremendous following.

Most famous for his “You Might Be A Redneck If”¦” routine, Foxworthy has three comedy recordings which have sold more than eight million units, making him the largest selling comedy recording artist ever.

A regular on “The Tonight Show” and “The Late Show With David Letterman,” Foxworthy also has two Showtime standup specials to his credit. His second special earned a Cable ACE Award nomination. He has also been honored with a People’s Choice Award as “Favorite Male Newcomer” for “The Jeff Foxworthy Show” and TNN’s “Comedian of the Year” three years in a row.

Foxworthy is the author of nine best-selling books, four which explore the phenomenon of “being a redneck.”
