The Mohegan Sun in Connecticut has continued to thrive despite the tragic events of Sept. 11, according to a report in Indian Country Today.

While Las Vegas casinos are reporting as much as a 30 percent drop in work hours, American Indian casinos appear to be holding up well.

A survey over Thanksgiving showed that 87 percent of travelers said they planned to drive to casinos during the holiday.

We're seeing a very positive over-year increase in our revenue," said Mitchell Etess, vice president of marketing at Mohegan Sun.
