If you’re thinking about celebrating New Year’s Eve this year playing Bingo, now is the time to start make your plans and reservations. Traditionally, many of the Bingo rooms in Las Vegas offer special games with larger pay-outs, jackpots, prizes and parties for New Year’s Eve, and this year promises to be even bigger than ever.
Most of these rooms require advance reservations for New Year’s Eve and they will often sell out early. You also usually need to purchase and pay for your tickets to these events in advance. We’ll take a look at some of the New Year’s Eve Bingo happenings here to help you make your decisions.
Castaways: Two (2) sessions at 9 and 11 p.m. $75 buy-in. Each session features a $10,000 Coverall, hors d’oeuvres, party favors and champagne. Call 383-9289 for details and reservations.
Arizona Charlie’s West: (Decatur location only) Special 11 p.m. session. All Bingo packs are $15. Eleven (11) $1,000 games. $3,000 Coverall, $2,000 Second Chance Coverall and $1,000 Third Chance Coverall. Call 258-5200 for more information.
Terrible’s: Special 11 p.m. session. $7,500 total prize pay-outs. $35 buy-in with extra packs at $10 each. Includes free champagne, party favors and New Year Dauber. Visit the casino or call, 1-800-640-9777 or local at 733-7000.
Station Casinos: (Palace, Texas, Boulder, Sunset or Santa Fe) $10,000 in prize money at each location. Tickets are $10. Special sessions start at 11:15 p.m. Twelve (12) games of $500, with a Coverall game of $3,000 and a Second Chance Coverall of $1,000. Party favors and champagne will be served complimentary. Must purchase tickets in advance. Visit your favorite Station to buy your tickets. All Stations will also be giving away a special Bingo Baseball Cap commemorating their exclusive Jumbo Progressive game, at all regular sessions on New Year’s Day, with a $4 minimum buy-in, while supplies last. Also, mark your calendar for a special, one day only, Big Game $50,000 Bingo session coming to all Stations on January 27.
Gold Coast & Suncoast: $30,000 guaranteed prize pay-outs at each location. Includes two (2) special sessions at 9:30 and 11 p.m. Twelve (12) games at each session with a minimum $1,000 prize for each game. (You play in both sessions.) Doors open at 8 p.m. Game packages are available at $60, $75, or $90, depending on how many Bingo cards you want to play, and includes a free gift and dauber, champagne, party favors and hors d’oeuvres. Mahoney’s Casino: New Year’s Eve special Bingo super sessions at 9 and 11:30 p.m. Over $4,000 in Coveralls. Twenty (20) games at each session with regular pack prices. Party favors and champagne served complimentary at the late session. No reservations are required or taken.
Plaza: Regular Bingo session at 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve with a free gift of two champagne flutes for all players. (Minimum buy-in required.) On New Year’s Day, January 1, 2002, a pocket date calendar will be given as a free gift to all players at all sessions, with a minimum buy-in, while supplies last.
So, as you can see, there are a lot of good choices to spend your Bingo bucks this New Year’s, with many opportunities to possibly hit a large jackpot. If you don’t see your favorite room listed above, be sure to check with them. They may be offering something special for New Year’s as well. Plan ahead, purchase your tickets early, and have fun!
