STRIP GAMING WIN DECLINES 10% IN OCTOBER

Gaming win on the Las Vegas Strip declined 10.6% in October to $358 million, down from $400.5 million reported in October 2000.

Without baccarat's 28% decline in revenue, the Strip posted a 9% decline in gaming win.

Slot revenue, however, declined only 3% in October.

Clark County posted a 6.1% decline in gaming win; downtown registered a 2.7% decline; North Las Vegas posted a 6.6% increase; and the Boulder Strip gained 5.4% over last year's results.
