Notre Dame needs another football coach, again.
George O'Leary, who left Georgia Tech a week ago, was forced to resign when a background check revealed that he falsified educational claims.
According to New York University, O'Leary never earned a master of science degree in education as claimed in this year's Georgia Tech football media guide.
The NYU source told ESPN.com that O'Leary went two semesters to NYU from Sept. 1970 to June 1971 and took just one course in each period. O'Leary also claimed to have attended NYU-Stony Brook. Such a campus does not exist.
O'Leary had been able to land positions without background checks in the coaching business for over 20 years, beginning at Syracuse as an assitant in 1980.
O'Leary also falsified his athletic record at New Hampshire, claiming his played three years of football for the university when in fact he never saw action.
