BOYD BACK ON TRACK WITH DELTA DOWNS

Dec 15, 2001 11:16 PM

Boyd Gaming has resumed efforts to install 1,700 slot machines in its recently-acquired Delta Downs racetrack after a court dissolved an injunction against them.

Boyd, which purchased the track in Vinton, Louisiana last summer, had received a gaming license for the slots, but was stymied by a suit filed by Isle of Capri, which owns a dockside casino in nearby Lake Charles.

But Boyd was able to solve the conditions that led to the suit and the injunction was removed Friday.
