VENETIAN'S AKERS EXTENDS BOOKIES BATTLE LEAD

The Venetian's Rob Akers extended his lead to four games in Gaming Today's Bookies Battle with just two weeks remaining.

Akers posted a 9-6 week to bring is overall mark to 136-82. Johnny Spot, the race and sports director at Barbary Coast, is second at 132-86 after a disappointing 6-9 week.

Chris Day of Virgin River is a strong third at 130-88 following a 9-6 week. Scott Elliott, of Joker's Wild, posted a 10-5 week to move into fourth at 127-91.

The best record last week was 12-3, posted by Bill Fogg of Flamingo Hilton Laughlin and Cyril Burger of the Las Vegas Hilton. The consensus went 10-5 last week and is 125-93 for the season.
