Television ratings for the four Bowl Championship Series college football games dropped to the lowest point ever.

National champion Miami's 37-14 victory over Nebraska in the Rose Bowl climaxed a 22 percent fall from last year. The other BCS games in the four-contest package were the Orange, Sugar and Fiesta.

The 43.2 combined rating for the four BCS games were well down from last year's 55.5 and worst since the BCS started its series in 1998.

The Rose Bowl drew a 13.8 national rating for ABC, which is paying $525 million for seven years of TV rights to the top four games through 2006.
