Finally, a good fight in the ring.

Sugar Shane Mosley, considered the best fighter in the world pound for pounded, was pounded by unbeaten challenger Vernon Forrest and lost a unanimous 12-round decision at Madison Square Garden.

Forrest, now 34-0, was a 7-1 underdog in the fight but came away as the new WBC welterweight champion.

Mosley, who lost to Forrest in the 1992 Olympic boxing trials, was knocked down twice and lost on all three judges' scorecards.

Mosley fell to 38-1.
