Wolfgang Puck’s restaurants in Las Vegas offer an array of cuisine and fine dining for the most discerning Valentine couples. The newly-redesigned Spago at the Forum Shops will offer, in addition to its a la carte menu, a five-course tasting menu with offerings such as chilled Hog Island oysters on the half shell, grilled beef tenderloin with sun-dried tomato flan and mushroom-Madeira reduction, and strawberry mousse cake. The cost is $100 per couple.
Chinois, also at the Forum Shops, offers a family-style menu with selections such as Maine day boat scallop love nest with lobster sauce and hot and spicy catfish for two with Szechuan green beans. As a complement to dinner, couples can toast each other with the French Kiss Martini or indulge in Cherries Jubilee.
At The Venetian, Postrio’s rich wood decor and burgundy walls lend themselves to an intimate Valentine’s repast. A seductive concoction made from Absolut Citron, sweet and sour, and a touch of Chambord, Postrio offers the Liquid Love, an ideal companion for the shellfish platter for two.
Cili, located at Bali Hai Golf Club south of Mandalay Bay, toasts Valentine’s Day with the Bellini Martini, a refreshing blend of Zone peach, Peach Schnapps, and a touch of champagne, as well as a sampling of chocolate desserts ranging from milk to bittersweet varieties.
Trattoria del Lupo, Wolfgang Puck’s Italian eatery inside Mandalay Bay, offers Valentine’s Day couples a comfortable, warm trattoria-style setting to enjoy such selections as chicken scaloppini with white mushrooms and marsala florio, and oven-roasted shrimp with a red hot chili sauce. For dessert, the pastry menu features classic tiramisu or warm apple custard with vanilla ice cream.
