If you’ve never tried playing bingo with a TED, it’s something a little different you might want to try. TED is an abbreviation for The Electronic Dauber and the regular paper games you would normally purchase are stored in this small portable computer device that lies on your table while you play. When the bingo numbers are called you simply enter it on your computer game and it will automatically record, (“electronically daub”) the number on each card you have purchased. There are several unique advantages to using a TED. First of all, you should never miss a called number on any of your cards and you don’t need to worry about the letters being called. You only enter the number and you don’t need to carry a dauber around with you. Secondly, TED will automatically display your best cards and also allow you to view any other cards you’re playing as well. Finally, the games can become even more exciting as it counts down the numbers needed to win a bingo and flashes on the screen. Even a warning sound is given when one number left is needed to win. If and when you do bingo, your screen will produce fireworks and most TEDs will play music as the finale. Almost all of the bingo rooms in Las Vegas offer TED’s, but you may need to get there a little earlier than usual to get one. They don’t always have enough for everyone and often sell out at many sessions. Try it. You may never go back to paper bingo cards again!
