How would you like a complete T-bone steak dinner for $7.95? The battle of the T-bones rages on, hot and delicious, between friendly, neighborhood rivals, the Palms and the Gold Coast. The results are a great deal for hungry patrons at either casino. By rights, the Gold Coast originated the special offer, and it remains a “must-do” on many tourists vacation lists. The giant 16 ounce T-bone, served in The Cortez Room, comes with a salad, bread, baked beans, onion rings, baked potato and  even a glass of beer. It is available 24 hours a day, but only to guests over 21 years of age. Across the street, the Sunrise Café at the Palms serves their special 10-ounce T-bone between the hours of 5 and 11 p.m. nightly. The dinner comes complete with the entrée, hot vegetable, dinner roll and choices of soup or salad, a glass of beer or wine, and either baked or mashed potatoes. Hmmm”¦tough choices, but we’re glad to face tough decisions like this in Las Vegas! Eat hardy my friends! (Note: No reservations at these two restaurants are accepted or available at either property. Lines usually aren’t too long. Try off-peak times for quicker seating.)

The following is a brief rundown on some last minute and/or newly discovered specials running during the remainder of February.

Barbary Coast: A sign on the outside marquee states: “All Drinks $1.”

Silverton: German Feast Buffets every Tuesday this month served from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $10.99. Includes a free St. Pauli Girl’s Beer. Seniors 55 years of age or older can get an additional 25 percent off any meals, including the buffet, or any other Silverton restaurant on Tuesdays, too. Just make sure you have a free Player’s Club card with a “Super Senior” sticker applied. (Ask for details at the slot club promotions booth.) The Tuesday discount for seniors runs through April 30.

Texas Station: Use half your slot club points at all restaurants during the month. (Same offer still applies at Boulder Station, too. Note: NOT available at Palace or Sunset Stations.)

Las Vegas Club: Opened a new restaurant called the Pasta Bowl, featuring Italian food and daily specials. Open for lunch too!

Arizona Charlie’s: (Both locations) The Sourdough Café special this month is spaghetti with meat sauce for $3.99. Includes a tossed salad and garlic toast.

Boardwalk Casino: $1 price increase on the late-night Steak & Eggs Buffet. New price is $6.99. Served from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. (Still a decent price on one of the only late-night buffets available on the Strip!)

Gold Coast: Replaced the former Mediterranean Room with a new restaurant called, Arriva. (The former spaghetti special offered by the Mediterranean Room no longer applies. We’ll keep you abreast of any new specials in the future.)

Until next week, eat well, play well, stay well!
