Work resumes at Mandalay

Feb 26, 2002 9:21 AM

Mandalay Bay has resumed work on its 1.8 million square foot convention center after a pause in construction following the September 11 terrorist attacks.

“Recent improvements in the economic outlook of the meeting and trade show industry give us confidence to resume work on this project,” said Glenn Schaeffer, president and CEO of Mandalay Resort Group. “We continue to experience the strong product demand that led us to initiate this project last summer.”
