5-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys at the Aladdin

The acclaimed singer/songwriter who produced and arranged her entire debut album Songs in A Minor, which was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA late last year, has had a stellar year. With six American Music Award nominations in both the Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B categories, Alicia Keys was named this year’s winner for Favorite New Artist in both the Pop and Rock & Roll Music category and Soul/R&B Music category.

Keys won five Grammys at the 44th Annual Grammy Awards; Song of the Year for Fallin’, Best New Artist, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for Fallin’, Best R&B Song for Fallin’, and Best R&B Album for Songs in A Minor.
