Country music legend Hank Thompson will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino’s Club Madrid. For ticket information, call the box office at (702) 547-7777.

Inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1989, Thompson has charted hit records in five decades. Throughout the 1950s, ÂíThompson recorded 21 top 20 hits, most of which captured the atmosphere of the honky tonks. His million-seller hit, Wild Side of Life, spawned It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels, an “answer” recorded by Kitty Wells. Thompson has sold over 60 million records, including the hits Humpty Dumpty Heart, Oklahoma Hills  and Six Pack to Go.

His Sunset Station show will introduce his American roots music to a new generation and remind long-time listeners why they are fans.
