Leslie Ruthe, who has spent her
entire business career providing information technology to companies in the
gaming industry, has been appointed vice president of information technology for
Carl Icahn’s Nevada gaming properties. These include the Stratosphere, Arizona
Charlie’s West and Arizona Charlie’s East.
Before joining Icahn’s management
team, Ruthe spent six years with Stations Casinos Inc. as corporate director of
eBusiness Intelligence, director of new product development and director of

the Icahn Group, Don Lake was named director of hotel operations at the
Stratosphere. He previously held management positions with MGM Grand Hotel and
Christiane L. Holmes is the new
director of hotel operations for Fiesta Henderson, the property owned by Station
Casinos Inc. She previously worked for the company as hotel manager.
Christopher J. Fiumara has been
appointed director of marketing for the new $300 million Green Valley Ranch
Station Casino. The appointment was made by property vice president general
manager Mike Mecca.
Fiumara has been with Station Casinos
since 1996, most recently as senior operations analyst.
Robert D. Hayward has resigned
as chairman of the commission that regulates gaming at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
He is expected to take another position with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe,
owner of Foxwoods.
