players who like to keep late hours can take a shot at the $500 daily prize pool
(guaranteed) every Tuesday and Wednesday at Terrible’s Hotel & Casino. The
“graveyard” tournament starts at 4:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday,
through the end of March. The entry fee is only $20 and it entitles players a
chance to win a piece of the pool, which includes all the entry fees. Terrible’s is located at the corner of Paradise and
Flamingo roads.
Hatch an ”˜egg’ worth $15,000!
The
Rampart Casino in Summerlin (formerly the Regent) is in the midst of a $100,000
Pot O’ Gold Giveway in which casino players can win up to $15,000 in a
drawing. Two drawings are held daily (4 p.m. and 9 p.m.), Thursday through
Sunday, and the winner must be present to win. To obtain drawing tickets,
players can hit four-of-a-kind, four aces
and royal flushes on video poker machines, as well as selected jackpots on slot
machines. Tickets will also be awarded for suited blackjack in the table game
pit, and for patrons who cash a payroll check or receives an advance
through Com Check.
Spring Fling at Jerry’s Nugget
Players
at Jerry’s Nugget can win big in free drawings that are part of Jerry’s
Spring Fling Giveaway, from March 27 through April 21. Drawings will take place
Thursday through Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. beginning April 4. There will
be four winners chosen at each drawing for a total of 144 winners. Contestants
will spin the giant video wall for cash prizes ranging from $300 to $2,500. Four
grand prizes will be awarded every Sunday. The first two Sundays’ grand prize
winners will receive spa vacations for two to the Hyatt Regency Resort at Lake
Las Vegas, plus $2,500. The last Sunday of the contest, April 21, the grand
prizes will include a 2002 Chevy Camaro for first place, $3,000 cash for second,
a two-night stay for two at the Hyatt Regency for third, and a one-night spa
getaway for two at the Hyatt Regency for fourth place. Entries are earned by
accumulating More Club Plus points.
Hilton BJ tournament
In
what’s being hailed as the tournament of the year, the Las Vegas Hilton will
host the first ever $1 million Blackjack Tournament starting in April with over
$1.2 million in total prize money paid to winners, including a grand prize of $1
million.
Entry is
$1,000 for one of the monthly tournaments, which also includes a complimentary
guest room for three nights, souvenir tournament T-shirt and a chance at the all
the cash prizes.
