Cannery’s coming to NLV

A new hotel-casino is currently under construction in North Las Vegas. Located at the corner of Craig and Losee roads, the new casino is called The Cannery and is expected to open next December.

The project is a joint venture between Bill Paulos, Bill Wortman and Robert Mendenhall. If the names sound familiar it’s because the group is part of Millennium Management, which currently operates the Rampart Casino, the former Regent in Summerlin.

The new Cannery, which will feature a 1950s-style factory motif, will include a 200-room hotel and a 35,000-square-foot casino, which will feature a variety of table games plus 1,200 slot and video machines.

More details will be made available later this spring.

In the meantime, Millennium Management is scheduled to be licensed this week by the Nevada Gaming Commission to manage the Rampart Casino.

The casino will be run separately from the JW Marriott ÂíHotel portion of the former Regent in Summerlin.
