AC Coin & Slot, one of the country’s leading slot
manufacturers and casino supply companies, has named veteran gaming executive
Richard Irvine to the position of vice president of sales.
“The depth of Rich’s business and gaming industry
experience will be a major boon to our sales efforts,” said Jason Seelig,
executive vice president of sales and marketing for the New Jersey-based
company. “He will be developing an ever-widening sales strategy for AC Coin
& Slot, one that should have a positive impact not only on our revenues, but
also on our reputation in the marketplace.”
AC Coin & Slot has
the franchise to distribute IGT (International Game Technology) products in the
U.S., Canada and the Caribbean, and also manufactures its own proprietary
gaming products. Its slot machines use the IGT platform.
Irvine will be working out of the company’s Las Vegas
office, and will focus on expanding the sales of the company’s proprietary
products.
“I’m very much looking forward to my new position,”
Irvine told GamingToday. “The company has a substantial number
of outstanding proprietary products that we will be marketing to a number of new
and existing markets.”
Among the company’s “hot” products is its Bewitched
slot game, which is “doing great in Nevada,” Irvine said.
“We intend to add substantially to that line,” he said,
adding that another highly-anticipated new product is Monster Mash.
“We should have 18 new titles for the gaming expo in the
fall,” he said. In addition to the slot games, Irvine said a new poker game,
called Three-Way Poker, will soon be unveiled.
Prior to joining AC Coin & Slot, Irvine was
GameTech’s COO, a position he held since February 1999. Prior to that he was
president and COO of Mikohn Gaming for three years, and had served on the
company’s board of directors since it became a publicly traded company in
1993.
Irvine has also served
as senior vice president of marketing and entertainment for Boomtown, a
Reno-based owner and operator of casino properties in Verdi (Nevada), Las
Vegas, Biloxi (Mississippi) and New Orleans.
In 1991, Irvine became vice president of marketing for Walt
Disney Attractions Worldwide, and he began his gaming industry experience with
IGT as the executive vice president of
worldwide sales and marketing.
In addition, Irvine was co-founder of Aurora Productions,
where he executive produced such films as “Heart Like a Wheel,” “The
Secret of Nihm,” and “Eddie and the Cruisers.” He also produced the
Broadway show, “The Suicide.”
Since 1978, AC Coin Slot has been among the country’s leading slot manufacturers and casino supply companies. Its products include proprietary slot machines, table games, interior casino signage, slot bases, casino millwork and seating. The company is headquartered in Pleasantville, New Jersey.
