Aristocrat Technologies Inc. has been awarded a contract for the installation of its OASIS casino management system at the Barbary Coast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

OASIS systems have been previously installed and are successfully operating at other Coast Resorts properties in Las Vegas, including the Suncoast Hotel & Casino, Orleans Hotel & Casino and Gold Coast Hotel & Casino.

The installation will replace another manufacturer’s system and will monitor more than 645 games in the casino. The OASIS system purchased includes Super-PlayMATE player tracking, BlackBart game machine accounting, Diagnostic and Surveillance monitoring and OmniView real-time graphical display. Installation is set to begin in April 2002.

“Our business goal is to create partnerships with our clients, helping them achieve their goals, and I’m honored to say we have achieved a very successful partnership with Coast Resorts through our OASIS system,’’ said Mark Newburg, president of Aristocrat Technologies Inc.

“With this installation, OASIS is now in every Coast Resorts property in Las Vegas, and the total system solution OASIS provides now benefits Coast Resorts’ customers at each of their properties.”

Marcus Suan, vice president of slot operations for Coast Resorts, said, “The level of innovation and reliability OASIS has brought to our properties is invaluable. Not only has OASIS provided us with a total casino management solution, but more importantly, it has enabled us to take care of our customers even better than we did before.

“And, bottom line, in today’s market, customer service will be what distinguishes one property from the next.”

The OASIS casino management system utilizes the popular Windows operating platform and advanced electronic monitoring equipment to collect, integrate, analyze and report information on player and gaming machine activity. OASIS enables operators to link all of their data centers together, including casino, hotel, food and beverage, and point of sale.

Aristocrat Technologies Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Aristocrat Leisure Limited, is responsible for all North and South American operations from its headquarters in Las Vegas.

With its acquisition of Casino Data Systems in June 2001, Aristocrat now employs a staff of more than 600 and offers a diversified product line that reaches into virtually all facets of the casino floor.

In addition to both video and stepper slots, the company provides casino management systems, multisite progressive (MSP) systems, progressive jackpot meters and customized overhead sign packages.
