Bill Hornbuckle, senior vice president for development and
president and chief operating officer of MGM MIRAGE Online, will be the featured
speaker at the iGamingWorld 2002 conference to be held June 24-26 at the
Bellagio Resort Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas.
He will be joined by Marc Falcone, a gaming analyst at Bear
Stearns.
MGM MIRAGE Inc. (MGG) was one of the three original online
gaming licensees for the Isle of Man, a self-governing island of the British
coast.
“MGM MIRAGE is a premier brand in the gaming industry,”
said Hornbuckle in explaining his appearance at the online-gaming conference.
“I am looking forward to our future online success and the opportunity to
speak at iGamingWorld 2002.” The company said it did not expect to begin its
online operations until early 2003.
Falcone, who serves as the New York-based managing director
of the Bear Stearns gaming and leisure equity research teams under Jason Ader,
will discuss the results of his firm’s ongoing industry studies that have been
conducted over the course of the past several years.
“iGamingWorld will be an ideal venue for Bear Stearns to
really articulate what we believe are the key growth drivers in this industry
over the next several years,” Falcone said, adding, “Understanding the
outlook of the e-gaming industry is a key factor in the timely execution of
strategic marketing initiatives.”
Among the topics to be discussed at the conference, according to Jessica Benoit, conference manager, are “the best marketing strategies and techniques for the online gaming industry, including the latest strategies to drive players to online gaming ventures and keep them going back for more.”
