by Mark Mayer | The great thing about Ultimate Fighting Championships is that a new card is finalized before the upcoming one takes place.

So it is that UFC 84 will go down May 24 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, featuring a lightweight title fight between Sean Sherk and BJ Penn. Penn is known for his athleticism and speed, while Sherk is considered the strongest fighter in the 155-pound division.

Also on the card is Tito Ortiz, of Celebrity Apprentice fame, taking on unbeaten Lyoto Machida in a light-heavyweight bout. Tickets range from $650 down to $50.

UFC 83 is slated for April 19 in Montreal. Caesars Palace has Georges St. Pierre a -530 favorite over Matt Serra in the welterweight title bout, Michael Bisping a -400 choice over Charles McCarthy in a middleweight fight and Rich Franklin a -330 pick against Travis Lutter in another middleweight contest.

No odds have yet been posted on the UFC 84 fights.
