Casino promotions run in cycles and it seems we’re back to scratch cards at several locations. In addition to the Fiesta’s scratch card promotion on four-of-a-kinds in jacks or higher, (mentioned in last weeks column, that runs through the end of May), we have at least two new ones to add this week. Sometimes these promotions seem to materialize overnight!
You can "Get Down On All Fours" during the Hard Rock’s scratch card promotion running through May 22. Every four-of-a-kind on video poker machines earns a scratch card with a guaranteed prize value. Could be cash, free slot play money, dining discounts, or highly sought-after logo merchandise. Each card also contains a letter. If you collect all the letters spelling out "The Who" or "Eagles" you win concert tickets to either or both! There are some rules and regulations regarding multi-line machines, so be sure to read them before you begin playing. Pick up a bulletin at the Back Stage Pass slot club booth. You must be a club member and playing with your card inserted to get scratch cards, too. You can also pick up the lapel/hat pin of the month by earning 20 points during May. No point redemption necessary.
It’s nice to see a Strip casino involved in a good scratch card promotion too. The Barbary Coast is itching to give money, points and prizes away when you hit a jackpot of 200 coins or more, a four-of-a-kind in natural fours, or a royal flush. Top award on their scratch cards is $500. The promotion continues through the month of May.
The Palms keeps the excitement flowing this month with "Mustangs and Moolah Giveaways" during May. A total of $165,000 in cash and cars is up for grabs. Every Tuesday and Friday all Club Palms club members can swipe their cards for one free entry for the drawings. Additional drawing tickets may be earned by playing slots, video poker and video keno. Ten winners of $500 cash will be drawn twice on Tuesdays, first at 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m., for a total of $5,000 given away at each drawing. Winners must be present and have two minutes to claim their prize. The drawings for a 2002 Ford Mustang convertible are held on Fridays, once at 8 p.m. One lucky winner each Friday gets the car and must be present to win.
As always, it’s good to remember..." Luck seems to favor those who prepare for it!" Prepare well! Grab some cash and scratch this month!
