Hospitality suppliers from both the lodging and food service industries will take center stage at the 23rd annual Las Vegas International Hotel & Restaurant Show (LVIHRS), June 19-20, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

This year’s lineup includes exhibitors representing numerous foreign countries, as well as national, regional and local companies. Also on tap is the show’s 12th Annual Epicurean Affair, in which Las Vegas’ top restaurants showcase their signature dishes.

"We’re pleased to announce that our exhibitors represent countries as far away as Italy as well as companies located right here in Las Vegas," said Felix Rappaport, President and CEO of New York-New York and chairman of the LVIHRS. "Their innovative products and services represent every type of item needed in today’s hospitality industry."

Among the 50 new exhibitors already committed to this year’s show are Universal Marketing from Italy, who will bring a contingent of 8-10 Italian suppliers of olive oil, cheeses, coffee, chocolate, tomato sauce and hotel and restaurant furniture; Design Imports International of Rhode Island, a national distributor of fine tableware; Restonic, a mattress company from Illinois; Multi Systems of Phoenix, a provider of technology solutions; Pompeii Furniture, an outdoor furniture manufacturer from Florida; Eagle Foodservice, a food distributor from Las Vegas; and Panache Gourmet, a supplier of gourmet food products located in Seattle.

"From furniture, electronics and locking systems, to bed linens, food items and foodservice equipment, the LVIHRS offers the most comprehensive range of products for the hospitality professional," Rappaport said.

One of the high points of the show is the 12th annual Epicurean Affair, which features dozens of Las Vegas restaurants showcasing their signature dishes. There will also be internationally acclaimed wines and spirits available for tasting.

Epicurean Affair is open to the public and scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at the Caesars Palace pool complex, the Garden of the Gods.

"We’re expecting more than 70 of the city’s leading fine dining establishments to participate this year," said Van Heffner, president and CEO of the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association and the Nevada Restaurant Association. "The unique aspect of the Epicurean Affair is the people can taste dishes from the city’s finest restaurants all at one venue. Last year, more than 2,000 people tasted an amazing assortment of dishes. We expect even more attendees this year."

A silent auction benefiting the Nevada Hospitality Foundation will be held during the Epicurean Affair.

The LVIHRS is open to all hospitality industry professionals. Registration is available at or by calling 800-272-SHOW. Advance tickets to the Epicurean Affair are available for $100 per person or $850 for a package of 10. For more information call the Nevada Restaurant Association at (702) 878-2313.
