Station Casinos has awarded $5.5 million to bingo players since the introduction of its $100,000 Jumbo Bingo Progressive a year ago; the jackpot has averaged $140,000 and there have been 14 winners since June 2001.

Boulder Station, Palace Station, Santa Fe Station, Sunset Station and Texas Station bingo players have made the linked progressive game one of the company’s most successful. The first game of every session is a coverall for the guaranteed $100,000-plus linked progressive jackpot between Station’s five bingo rooms. The entry fee is $1 per game and players may enter as many times as they like. Station’s Jumbo Bingo is bingo with "a kick."

For more than a decade, bingo operations throughout the gaming industry were stagnant. "Our team took a lackluster game and made it very exciting; since it’s debut, Jumbo Bingo has increased the company’s bingo head count significantly," said Weldon Russell, Station Casinos’ director of ancillary gaming. "What’s so impressive about the game is that slot machine progressive technology was used in a brand-new way. Since last June, we’ve seen younger, more tech-savvy players who are not intimidated by the newest gadgets."

The Station Casinos bingo rooms are packed with long-time players and new fans who find the linked progressive one of the best developments in years.
