Patti LaBelle has ‘new attitude’

Soul diva extraordinaire Patti LaBelle will perform her newly revamped show in Le Théátre des Arts at Paris Las Vegas, July 18-21 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $65 (including tax) and are available at the Paris Box Office or by calling (702) 946-4567 or (877) 374-7469.

LaBelle’s latest tour, including her upcoming performances at Paris Las Vegas, will feature a new band as well as new arrangements of her high-energy hits and soulful ballads. "When people come to see me, they know they are going to get 150 percent," LaBelle says. "It’s been that way ever since I stepped out onstage for the first time."

Since first taking the spotlight in 1961 with The Bluebelles, LaBelle has recorded an endless string of hits including "New Attitude," "Lady Marmalade" and "On My Own" (a duet with Michael McDonald). More recently, her hits include "Somebody Loves You Baby," "The Right Kind Of Lover" and "When You Talk About Love."

With well over a dozen albums recorded as a solo artist, LaBelle has been honored for her talent throughout her vibrant career. She has earned two Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards and seven NAACP Image Awards, and has received her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As an entertainer who is constantly reinventing herself, LaBelle has also put her life experiences on paper. LaBelle has written two New York Times best-selling books including her autobiography, "Don’t Block the Blessings" and a cookbook, "LaBelle Cuisine: Recipes to Sing About."
