Free shows, nearly free shows, free food, cheap food and free Marie Osmond! Lots to share this week!

For openers, check out a free showing at Suncoast any Monday or Tuesday, for "Frank, Dean and Friends." Pick up free tickets prior to the show of your choice at the box office between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.

For only $15 for a ticket, Harrah’s brings rock and comedy to the Carnaval Court in August and September. Morris Day and the Time will be rockin’ the Court Bar Saturday, August 3, at 8 p.m. They are best known for "Jungle Love" and for their appearance in Purple Rain.

Go retro on Saturday, September 7 at 8 p.m. when Disco-Dy-no-mite takes over the Carnaval Court. Comedians Jimmy "JJ" Walker and Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs will be joined by dance-club queen Thelma Houston (Don’t Leave Me This Way), Rose Royce (Car Wash) and Evelyn "Champagne" King (Shame). Tickets are $15.

How about all-day eats for $7.47? It’s true! Hit the Westward Ho for a 55-cent coffee and donut deal at Nevada Nick’s in the morning. (Actually, the coffee is only a nickel!) For lunch, grab the ¾ lb. Mega-dog, a "built for two" strawberry shortcake and/or a 27 ounce giant Margarita. Your choice for any of the three is a meager 99 cents. Now you’re up to about $3.50. For an afternoon snack and a free good time, attend the complimentary Ice Cream Socials in the lounge, every day from noon to 3 p.m. or play Bingo for nothing on Tuesdays and Fridays at 4 p.m. for a crack at some free cash! Now for dinner, go for the $4.95 huge burger and fries plate that includes a milkshake. Are you adding this up? Okay, it’s $8.47, but if you sign up as new member of the Preferred Customer slot club, (also free to join) you will receive a $1 off coupon for the burger and fries deal! Voila! Eat all day for $7.47!

How about Bellagio? Now here is someplace you would never expect to see mentioned in a column about "cheap!" But on July 26 and 27, you can stop in a store called Tutto inside Bellagio and catch a glimpse and possibly photograph Marie Osmond. She’ll be there between noon and 4 p.m. both days promoting and autographing her line of fine porcelain dolls and collectibles. You can always buy, but it is a free opportunity to meet Marie! For more information call (702) 693-7762.

That’s it for this week! Until next time ”¦ Eat well, play well, stay well!
