Many Bingo players we’ve talked to actually have a "Daily Bingo Planner" calendar they use to mark special dates, games and where they plan to play from day to day. As the first of the month begins, now would be a good time to start filling in some special dates for advance planning. In this edition we’ll begin looking at some unique August Bingo promotions, another new Bingo progressive coming soon and bring you a few more of those Bingo "Fun Facts" just for amusement.

For starters, #1 Main Club members at the Plaza who buy-in for $20 or more at any 5 p.m. session in August will receive a free Chop-Chop Buffet Dinner ticket. Also, any Bingo winners of $500 or more at any session during the month will get a chance at the "Double Your Jackpot" wheel spin.

Winners of $500 or more will receive a ticket that enables them to spin the wheel for a chance to double their jackpot or receive other valuable merchandise, comps or prizes. The spinning wheel promotion takes place four times daily in the main casino area. The Plaza is also rewarding Bingo players with triple slot club points for at least the next three months and you can use your points for Plaza Bucks to play Bingo too!

Last week we described the new 5-way action Planet Bingo colored ball progressive games now in place at the Suncoast, Gold Coast and the Plaza. While they continue in full force, the Suncoast and Gold Coast will also have giveaways later in August.

A free insulated logo cooler bag will be given to all players on Saturday, August 24 at the 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. sessions. On Sunday, Aug. 25, you can get one at the 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. sessions. A minimum buy-in is required and available as one per person per session while supplies last. Players at Suncoast and the Gold Coast will be receiving double slot club points at all sessions all month too.

Another new progressive Bingo game called "Lightning Bingo" is shaping up at Jerry’s Nugget and will debut on September 1.

The progressive will start at $10,000 with a $200 increase every day. Lightning Bingo will be played every day at the 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. sessions on the 13th game. Every Bingo player at these sessions, with a $3 minimum buy-in, (one of the lowest buy-ins left in the city), will get one free card to play the Lightning round. Winner takes all in 46 numbers the first week. One number will be added per week, up to a 52 number maximum. We’ll check in with them next month and bring you more details.

Now here’s a few more of those Bingo "Fun Facts" with the help of Josh Brown at Bingo Manager Magazine. Did you know”¦?

”¡ Bingo is one of the most popular forms of low-priced gambling in the world.
”¡ Bingo is legal in most U.S. states that prohibit other forms of gambling. It is permitted in Ireland when the profits are for charity; and it is closely regulated in the United Kingdom, where lotto halls were subjected to a tax in 1966.

”¡ In the 1800s, a Lotto game similar to bingo was used as an educational tool in Germany, designed to teach children multiplication tables.
”¡ There are 1,474,200 unique bingo cards possible.

That’s it for this week”¦Until next week, may you all shout "B-I-N-G-O!"
