National Airlines launches ‘mini fare,’ cuts upgrades

Jul 30, 2002 6:21 AM

National Airlines system-wide "Mini Fare" sale offers travelers itsy bitsy, tiny, little fares starting as low as $99 one-way for travel between any East Coast city served by National and Las Vegas. Additional discounts of up to $10 one-way are available at nationalairlines.com on the "Mini Fare" sale prices. Travel is good through December 18, 2002 and tickets must be purchased by August 8, 2002.

"Since 9/11, Las Vegas has been the fastest rebounding destination for travelers," said National Airlines spokesman Dick Shimizu. "Helping to fuel the rebound has been the return of the leisure traveler, and the business traveler who is using techniques of the leisure traveler."

National reports that its passenger levels have nearly returned to last September’s levels. Low fares to entice travelers has helped bring the consumers back, Shimizu said.

Last minute travelers unable to take advantage of the "Mini Fare" sale can still save money with National Airlines FareSavers. For complete details and pricing information for affordable, last minute travel, call your travel agent, National Airlines or visit nationalairlines.com.
