Station Casinos tosses its striped cap into the high-end football contest ring with its Gambler’s Challenge for the 2002 NFL season.

The season-long contest requires a $1,000 entry fee, which entitles Las Vegas handicappers a chance to win up to $100,000.

"We think it’s going to be a fun contest," said Micah Roberts, race and sports director at Palace Station. "It should bring in some good handicappers, and since it is company wide, will be convenient for anyone in the valley."

Registration is under way and continues through Sept. 6. Players can sign up at Palace, Boulder, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, Texas Station, Santa Fe Station, Wild Wild West and Barley’s Casino.

Players must make five picks a week. They can select five NFL teams against the Station line. Players can also choose from two of the best college games or two pro totals among the five weekly choices.
