The Las Vegas Invitational 9-ball highlights a week of tournaments bringing the world’s best pro and amateur players to the Riviera Hotel.

Allison Fisher and Karen Corr, who have battled for the women’s No. 1 ranking over the past several seasons, headline the 64-player field for the $20,000 9-ball event that began Monday night and concludes with Friday’s semifinals and final rounds.

Fisher and Corr will be challenged by Jeanette Lee, Vivian Villarreal, Eva Laurance and Loree Jon Jones.

Corr, the current world’s No. 1, captured all six Classic Tour events last year.

The week’s activity also includes the world’s largest amateur pool event, which features the Camel 8-Ball National Team Championship and the American Pool Association’s National 9-Ball Team Championship.

Both the 8-Ball and 9-Ball events run day and night during the week at the Riviera.

Tickets are $15 per person, per season and $10 for APA members. VIP seats sell for $20 per session and can be picked up at the Grand Ballroom all week.
