I just sat down to work on the lines for the upcoming college games and before I knew it four hours had passed.

Time does really fly when you’re having fun and especially when all these great looking plays appear out of nowhere. As for the last week of NFL preseason, some look playable if we only knew who was playing and what was in the coaches minds.

Well, I will take a few shots but concentrate on college.

NFL
Wednesday Aug. 28

Chargers +pts over 49ers. SD will be more motivated and should put forth a determined effort.

Thursday Aug. 29

Bears over Dolphins. Like this game a little more as Miami should have no interest here.

Steelers destroy the Vikes before a sold out house to simmer down the riotous Pitt fans.

Falcons +pts over Bengals. This should be a hotly contested game, and any points worth taking, 3 or more send it in.

Broncos over Seahawks. Denver gives fans a big victory after the 49er debacle.

Friday Aug. 30

Packers over the Titans. Green bay solid fav at home in preseason.

Browns over Panthers. Cleveland solid 5-2 straight up last seven at the dog pound.

NCAA:
Friday, Aug. 30

Tulsa + pts vs Oklahoma: Tulsa was 1-10 last year against the spread, covering in game 11 to avoid the record. Love Tulsa in this spot as they will be getting mucho points from Oklahoma who must go to Alabama next week. More than four TDs looks like money in the bank.

Saturday, Aug. 31

Washington +over vs Michigan (Best Bet) Tough to win at Ann Arbor but everything looks right. Head guy Neuheisel thinks this edition of the Huskies can go all the way to be Pac 10 champs. Bet the money line here and take the points.

Missouri + over vs Illinois. Missouri head coach Pinkel, formerly at Toledo, upset Penn St in 2000, Knows what it takes to get a big V. Will have his team sky high for this game. Illini could be overwhelmed before they know what hit them. Points look very juicy here.

California over Baylor. 1-10 last year, Cal has new head coach Tedford, former OC at Oregon and highly regarded. Look for Cal to start new era with much needed victory.

Notre Dame over Maryland. ND primed for this game and very motivated. Irish look very good in this spot at -1.

Penn State over Central Florida. Nittany Lions looking to rebound after back to back losing seasons. Will need this confidence booster to get started. Joe Pa says we are ready.

Middle Tenn St + pts over Alabama. This is the second half of the Oklahoma story. Here we have a very legitimate offensive machine (37 ppg in 2001) and have entire OL + superstar RB Hicks all back to put those points on the board. Huge game for MTSU as Bama has the Sooners next. Points look great here.

Sunday, Sept. 1

LSU/over vs. Virginia Tech. Great match-up here as both programs headed in the right direction. LSU loaded and if able to pull off the win here could be 5-0 headed to Florida and chance at title. Like the points here.

Louisville/under vs Kentucky. Lot of distractions for Ky, losing 19 scholarships after NCAA violations. Louisville coming off super year and has Heisman candidate Ragone in the backfield to muscle the ball down the field. Cardse should control tempo and keep that high octane Wildcats offense off the field.

Monday, Sept. 2

Cincinnati over TCU. Cincy, the best in C/USA, should cover in this spot. TCU has new QB who will be severally tested. Lots of turnovers here leads to Cincy victory.

USC/under vs Auburn (Best Bet). One of the better plays of the week. So Cal begins one of the toughest schedules of anyone in the country. Auburn head coach Tuberville fired his entire staff at end of season collapse. No way can they come into USC and survive. Look for So Cal to dominate both sides of the ball to come away with a two TD win.
