The Casino Management Association recently named Alan Feldman, Vice President of Public Affairs for MGM MIRAGE, as the recipient of the 4th Annual Gaming Professional of the Year Award.

CMA honors one casino industry executive each year with the award for his or her involvement in advancing the gaming industry. Nominees must illustrate that they have made a significant contribution to their community; supported casino education and training; and advanced the gaming industry as a whole through their efforts.

In his role as vice president for MGM MIRAGE, a $10 billion gaming, entertainment and resort company, Feldman is responsible for domestic and international media relations and oversees the planning and implementation of all community and government relations programs.

An active member of the community, he sits on the board of directors for KLVX-TV, public broadcasting for Southern Nevada, and KNPR, the National Public Radio affiliate in Las Vegas. In addition, Feldman serves on boards for the National Center for Responsible Gaming and the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling.

Feldman will be presented the Gaming Professional of the Year Award during the American Gaming Association’s Communication Awards Luncheon at the Global Gaming Expo convention to take place Sept. 19 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
