National Airlines is putting more than a quarter of a million seats on sale for $89* or less one-way through Friday, September 20. This unique offer began Monday with more than 16,000 seats on sale for travel between Philadelphia or Washington Dulles and Las Vegas ($79*) or Reno/Tahoe ($89*).

Each day this week, National will offer special discounts in different cities, but the carrier will not disclose which cities will be on sale until that day. All told, the Las Vegas-based carrier will offer more than 250,000 seats for sale this week.

These fares are only available for purchase at nationalairlines.com, Orbitz.com and Expedia.com. Travel at these low fares is available on every flight, everyday September 23, 2002 through November 15, 2002. Seating is limited.

Mark S. Suman, senior vice president — strategic planning and marketing, said, “The landscape of the airline industry is evolving and National intends to be on the forefront of this dynamic change. Earlier this year we introduced FareSavers, a pricing structure that features affordable, last minute fares and does away with most requirements for purchasing roundtrip tickets, which is especially convenient for National’s business travelers.

“Now we are taking the next step. National is offering customers the opportunity to purchase seats at incredibly low prices, but they have to act fast, just as airlines have to act fast in today’s competitive environment.”

National Airlines operates an all Boeing fleet of 757 jet aircraft configured with 175 seats including 22 in First Class. The carrier serves major cities throughout the US with nonstop service to and from Las Vegas. National has been recognized for outstanding customer service by Conde Nast Traveler magazine’s “2000 Reader’s Choice Awards,” “2001 Zagat Airline Survey,” and most recently Travel & Leisure magazine’s “2002 World’s Best” survey.
