Games for week ending Sept. 22

Giants at Brewers: San Francisco can’t afford to save pitchers. Giants win two with Jason Schmidt and Livan Hernandez.

Astros at Cards: Houston has to sweep all four games or at worst take three or the season is over. Race ends this weekend in St. Louis. Cards will notch three. Oswalt only winner for Astros.

Dodgers at Padres: San Diego would love to play role of spoiler. Dodgers picked a bad time to go into a tailspin. Going with Brian Lawrence and Brett Tomko to win two for the Padres.

Angels at M’s: Seattle with Jamie Moyer and Freddy Garcia try its best to whip Angels. Going with Mariners and those hurlers to slow Anaheim down.

Rangers at A’s: Texas playing its best ball of the season. Oakland bent on finishing on top of AL West. Rangers don’t have enough ammo. Tim Hudson and Barry Zito grab two wins to help A’s cement top spot.

The rest, we don’t really care about.
