GamingToday publisher and founder Chuck Di Rocco has been selected by the American Gaming Association (AGA) as the recipient of its prestigious Gaming Voice for Lifetime Achievement award.
The award was presented at the AGA’s Communications Awards luncheon on Thursday, as part of Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the world’s largest gaming industry convention.
“(Mr. Di Rocco’s) pioneering contributions to gaming through comprehensive media coverage of the industry and other achievements have made (him) an obvious choice for this honor,” said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, president of the AGA, in a letter of announcement to Mr. Di Rocco. He added that Di Rocco' publication had become "the bible" of the gaming industry.
A former newspaper journalist and public relations executive, Chuck Di Rocco founded Sports Form, the predecessor to GamingToday, 26 years ago in Las Vegas. Following a motto of “News You Can Bet On,” GamingToday covers virtually all aspects of the gaming industry, from manufacturing and horse racing to casinos and financial analysis and much more.
