NCAA – Second Round

Memphis -9 vs Miss St

The top seed in the South Region has had it easy so far, but figures to get a stern test from the underdog Bulldogs. Mississippi State beat Oregon in its first Round game and only lost by 5 in the regular season to Tennessee, the only team to beat Memphis.

If you like the Tigers, the 9 is an expensive line considering this is the third worst free throw shooting team in the country at around 57 percent. The Bulldogs were the top team in the SEC West and if they can stay close down the stretch, we like their chances. MISS ST.

And if you’re looking for a 3-team parlay…

Louisville -7 vs Oklahoma: Rick Pitino’s Cardinals were playing the best ball in the Big East until losing to eventual tourney champ Pitt. U of L is a slick 10-2 ATS in its last 12. The Sooners lost by 28 to Texas in the Big 12 tourney. LOUISVILLE.

Butler +4˝ vs Tennessee: If there is a team that epitomizes the classic film Hoosiers, it’s Butler. The Horizon champs are 30-3, yet are underdogs. Tennessee was ranked No. 1 for 24 hours, but has not had much success in the NCAA tournament. BUTLER.
